Hello!

I would like to start talking about my personality and what this signifies for me. I can be very  intense in all my feelings, but sometimes in English I become more shy because I feel like I can't express them. I would like to be more confident in English. On the other hand, this new language permits me to be more creative and witty, because I need to improve the answers and questions when I'm speaking with someone and this is very important to me. Learn a new language is amazing and challenging and I love this.

Does anyone share this feelings with me?

  2. I totally agree with you!! It's really challenging try to communicate each other, specially when you "miss" the words!! But i'll admit sometimes I firstly think in my mother language and then try to translate... it ends that i don't know how to continue the conversation! So I prefer change the meaning of the sentence I was trying to say rather than stop the conversation (for too long)! Does it happens also to you or someone else!?

    1. Have you ever ended up saying something you didn't mean?
Translating is normal and even useful up to a point, but if you don't let go of it, your English is not likely to be very natural. On the positive side, the communication value will still be there.
In a way I think it's a conscious choice students have to make, sometimes you just want to keep your 'Italian-ness' ad in other situations you might want to blend in more... What do you think?
